Two charecteristics the book has is the setting is dusty and very soothing and the other thing is how they wright with ink and the dances are very old fashiend.

The two main characters is Jo and Beth.
Jo is very shy and so is all the girls.(there is four sisters.Beth is very proper and likes things to be in place.
The summary
So my book is about four sisters who have to work together to get through hardships together.When there dad gets sent to war all the girls have to do extra chores and help out more.Soon they see there neighbor and Meg there oldest sister takes that as a oppurtunity and starts going to the dances with him.
It doesn't say the exact date of when my book took place but by the setting i can tell its from the 1800's.I give this book a 3 star raiting.Its a classic because its been around for a while and people still read it.The age i recomend is 9 and older.
I think the overall message is don't give up things will get better.I think thats the message because they are always going through hardships and things keep are gettting better.
I think you would enjoy this book because of all the intresting events that are always happining.
