AGENDA
There was a 36 year old man, his name was Edward. He was trying to do good for the community, so he stole from The Sanden Family, a rich family and gave to the poor. Many wealthy people knew of this and despised him, so on the night of the purge they planned to kill him.
Betrayed...
On the night of the purge, one of Edward's close friends betrayed him and told the purgers of Edward's whereabouts so they could could kill him for stealing from the Sanden Family.
Place of Hiding
So, Edward ran as fast as he could, so that he wouldn't be caught by the purgers. While running, a young boy opened his garage to let the man in. Without hesitation Edward slid into the garage just before it closed. Edward did not know it, but he had just entered into the home of The Sanden Family.
Why are you outside? Do you not know what today is? You should be home taking care of your family

The boy did not know it but Edward has no family. He lived in the streets spending his time stealing from familes like the Sanden Family and feeding those who cannot afford to eat.
Max, who is this you let into our home. I told you not to open the doors. And that includes the garage also.
All of a sudden, the door bell rang, it was the purgers. They began to say "you have a man wanted in your household for stealing our money and giving it to the poor. Hand us to him."

The father Peter then says to Edward "you put me and my family in danger. I should just throw you to the purgers like a pack of meat to wolves."
dad how could you say that. you must forgive him ,forgiveness is everything no matter how much someone has betrayed you

If Edward is not forgiven they will all be killed by the Purgers. Edward is forgiven by the Sandin family and they team up to plan an escape to the hiding place. The purgers bust the door open and start searching for them. Which puts them in danger.

Matt confronts the Purgers and says "Have we all not done bad things, we should rejoice for this man has done things that we should have done. He took our money and helped the poor. What is so wrong about that"
Impact
The Sandin Family and Edward would have been killed had Peter not stepped up. The purgers wanted cold blood and they were not able to get that because they all looked out for each other. They had each others backs

The parable is related to the movie, but inseatd there is a happy ending. Forgiveness is the key word in both of these stories. It teaches us as people that we should forgive others as Jesus has forgiven us sinners and also treat others as we want to be treated. This can be related to when Judas betrayed Jesus. Jesus still ended up forgiving him.
