Pat: Pat in the beginning felt that it was Beth fault and was confused on how she could have lost their child. He was also trying to hold the family together and be the rock while this was happening even though he was angry at Beth. he stayed positive that Ben would return.

Vincent: At this age Vincent did not seem to know the dynamics of this situation .He knew he was gone but He also believed that Ben would come back anytime and that he was just goofing around.

Ben: At this time we do not know how he Perceive this situation.

Kerry: She was only a baby so she did not have a perception of the kidnapping.

The perceptions from the family members were not collective. every member had a different perception of the incident . And in later years would change once again of how each member interacts with one another.
