Earth history

In ancient times, people thought everything revolved aroud the Earth. In the 16th century Nicholas Copernicus presented that everything revolved around the sun. Galileo backed this theroy up.

For hundreds of years people believed the Earth was flat. In 1492 Columbus proved this theory wrong.

The Earth is believed to be about 4.5 billion years old.

Earth's moon

Earth's moon

Earth only has 1 moon, therefore it does not need a name of it's own. The moon has been here as long as we have but it was finally considered Earth's moon in 1609. It has a hard rocky surface with multiple craters. It also has a core, mantle, and crust just like Earth. Earth's moon is the only thing we have ever stepped foot on besides Earth in our solar system.
