Mafatu at age 3 was swept up by the sea and almost killed. Mafatu's mother died trying to protect Mafatu from the sea.

Mafatu then gets made to do a lady's work while he is a man ready to do man work.
Mafatu trys to sail but gets washed up on the island of eaters of men.
Mafatu used the skills of a lady to survive while men cannot do this.Mafatu is currently 15 and prepared to be a tribe leader.
Mafatu ends up back on the island and everyone welcomes him home and Mafatu becomes the new Tribe Leader.
This story takes place in the Polinesian island and Mafatu is 15.
I give this book five out of five stars.I definintly recomend this book.This book has some complicated words but is short.A little kid may not understand this book but for anyone older i reccomend it.
