WHAT IS CNS TRAUMA?

Traumatic

The term "traumatic injuries of the central nervous system" (CNS) refers to both traumatic brain injury (TBI) as well as traumatic spinal cord injury (SCI). Both types of injuries substantially contribute to morbidity and mortality in developed as well as developing countries.

What is head injury?

Head Injury

A head injury is any sort of injury to your brain, skull, or scalp. This can range from a mild bump or bruise to a traumatic brain injury. Common head injuries include concussions, skull fractures, and scalp wounds. The consequences and treatments vary greatly, depending on what caused your head injury and how severe it is.

Degenerative

A neurodegenerative disease is caused by the progressive loss of structure or function of neurons, in the process known as neurodegeneration. Such neuronal damage may ultimately involve cell death.
