What is Gothic Art?
Gothic art was created in the mideival times throughout the 12 and 16th century.
Gothic cathedrals are made to lead your eyes upward to god. they don't focus on human life but only on what comes after, and gothic art only depicts saints and god. their inspiration comes from the afterlife and, gothic artists are ussually only thinking about what comes after life
Some statues that were in the charters cathedral were called the jamb statues. the jamb statues were statues that depicted saints.

2. The classical art period is roughly around 450bc - 300 AD
most classical sculptures are philisophical and focus on humans and had more complex thoughts in them.
Gothic art and classical art are very different from each other. they both resembled different things in which are not similar at all.
Gothic art is more focused on what comes after life, and something obvious is that most greek and roman art was not christian. Also greek and roman art was more philosophical, and did not focus on the afterlife and focused on humans.
