Predators
The predators of deer mice are hawks, owls, snakes, short-tailed shrews, foxes, minks, weasels, bobcats, and coyotes. Deer mice avoid their predators by foraging for food at night and staying low to the ground. They nest in empty burrows, brush piles, sheds, or cabins.
