The helpdesk we believe will make us more efficient and timely in terms of how we deal with queries – so for example in the past when you sent an email to an HR staff member who was out of office, often it did not get dealt with until that staff member returned. The helpdesk will ensure your query goes to someone who is available to answer in a more timely manner.
It was also allow us to track the number of queries that each HR staff member is handling so if for example we see one staff member with a high number of queries we can ensure new queries go to staff members who are handling less.
Please note that the above does not mean that you cannot come directly to the HR office when you need HR support or when you have a more confidential question, this is simply a complementary service.
