Cause: degeneration of cerbellum

PSP is the loss of specific brain cells. Its cause is unknown, and it is usually fatal in 6-10 years. It results in the slowing of movements and the loss of control of eye movement, speech, walking, and balance. It can also cause cognitive and personality changes. There is no medication currently for PSP. It is also known as Steele-Richardson-Olszewski syndrome.

Symptoms include stiffness or rigidity; freezing or slowed movements; instability; loss of balance; loss of coordination; a significant fall in blood pressure when standing, causing dizziness, lightheadedness, fainting or blurred vision
It is fairly uncommon and affects many brain systems as the name implies.
