Climate change
Precipitation is the amount of all the types of water that falls from the sky. For example snow, rain, and hail. Annual precipitation is the amount of all the precipitation that has fallen in one area. Annual precipitation is not always exact it is generally more of an average.

Annual precipitation affects glaciers and polar ice-cap size in many different ways. If the temperature rises than it rains instead of snow which makes the glaciers melt. Cold temperatures make snow and hail which keeps the glaciers and ice-caps frozen and make them grow bigger. The longer the frozen precipitation the more the glaciers grow and remain frozen.

Temperature is a way to determine how cold or hot a place is. temperature differs depending on where you are. For example the tropical rain forest is very hot and humid this is because its close to the earths equator where more sun is directed which makes a hotter temperature.

Temperature is one of the factors that brings the most change to polar ice-caps. The warmer the temperature the warmer the land and air. This makes the ice-caps and glaciers melt and create a lot of water. As i explained before warm temperatures make the precipitation rain which also makes the ice-caps and glaciers melt. When the temperatures cold it keeps the glaciers frozen and able to grow.
Climate change is like weather it includes everything weather measures like precipitation, temperatures, humidity, and more. The difference is climate is a measurement of a long time and weather is a short. Climate change is exactly what it sounds like the change of the general climate of a place.

Climate change affects glaciers and polar ice cap size severely and cause serious damage to earth. If the climate in the polar regions begins to warm up because of pollution at greenhouse gasses over time then polar caps will melt and cause sea level rise due to the extra water the main change that would affect glaciers and ice caps is the change from cold and dry to warm and wet.
