Animation

Vancouver is home to some of the biggest animation studios in the industry and demand keeps growing for people proficient in animation and special effects. Studios in Vancouver include:

Sony Imageworks – creators of Spiderman: Into the Spiderverse

Bardel – Rick and Morty

Industrial Light and Magic – Star Wars, Thor

Animation 11 students will get hands on experience developing 3D models including their dream home and room, dungeons, and characters.

Explore 3D animation concepts like squash and stretch, slow in slow out and more by creating a ball bounce animation, walk cycle, lip sync and pose to pose animation and dance.

Animation 12

Animation 12 students will enhance their skills in 3D animation by learning about constraints, exaggeration, and advanced mechanics.

They will be given the opportunity to work independently on a portfolio for post-secondary admission requirements if they are going to pursue a career in 3D modeling, animation, or special effects.

Cyber security requires knowledge from a wide range of topics. The courses you need to be able to understand and work in cyber security are:

· Networking

· Hardware

· Linux

· Programming

Be part of Killarney's new group of students who are going to have cyber security skills to protect them in the real world.

This program requires taking 4 IT courses at Killarney:

· Programming 11

· Hardware 12

· Networking 12

· Linux 12

Successful students will be able to go to BCIT’s CISA program and get credit for those 4 courses. They will not have to take them at BCIT or pay for them. It will save students around $1700! Plus students can try the courses out for basically free and decide if they want to continue down that path or not.
