Common Stereotypes of disabled People

Stereotypes

-They deserve pity

-They can not lead a productive life

-People with disabilities are sick and in pain all the time

-They are all inspirations because they have a disability

-Disabled people should be feared

- Parents teach their children to show extra sympathy towards disabled people.

- Example - There are no disabled role models for children in TV.

-People of respect in your life (parents) change how they talk when they are with disabled people
