The Illusion Transmitter was created by Valarie L Thomas. The Illusion Transmitter is basically a hologram. It looks like something's in the room, but it's actually not there
The Illusion Transmitter was created on February, 1980 in Valarie's house
Valarie invented the Illusion Transmitter so "actors can move about in the viewer's living room" (according to the book).
Valarie's inspiration was when she went to NASA. A person took a lightbulb out of a lamp but it looked as if the lightbulb was still there. Valarie reached out, expecting to feel the lightbulb, but her hand passed right through it. That's where she got the idea for the Illusion Transmitter.
Her assistant was her five - year old son, Mark.
You can make an Illusion Transmitter out of tape, a Christmas candle, and a spoon.
Her lab was her living room and dining room.
