  • White men in positions of power are able to avoid justice and punishment for their actions and wrongdoings. For example, the various allegations had no effect on Kavanaugh and he was still able to be confirmed to the Supreme Court.
  • People can easily turn a blind eye to the wrong doings of the "in-group". In this case, the in-group is powerful, white men.
  • Kavanaugh's confirmation proved that men like him are able to avoid scrutiny based on their prestige and privilege.
