Chen Cheng:He was a Chinese political and military leader, and one of the main National Revolutionary Army commanders during the Second Sino-Japanese War and the Chinese Civil War.
Zhou Enlai:He was a leading figure in the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and premier (1949–76) and foreign minister (1949–58) of the People’s Republic of China, who played a major role in the Chinese Revolution and later in the conduct of China’s foreign relations.
The chinese people first sided with the nationalists. However, due to Kaishek not doing much against the Japanese in War II, more and more people slowly side towards communists.
During War II, nationalists and communists take a break from fighting to put up resistance against Japanese. Eventually, Mao and the communists will emerge victorious and China will be a communist country by 1949.

Chiang was born into a merchant and farmer family in the coastal province of Chekiang. He prepared for a military career first (1906) at the Paoting Military Academy in North China.
He was born November 12, 1866, Xiangshan , Guangdong province, China (died March 12, 1925, Beijing), leader of the Chinese Nationalist Party.

When China fell to communism in 1949, it led the United States to suspend diplomatic ties with the PRC for decades.
