The cause of death was determined to be a ventricular septal defect, the mechanism of death was myocardial infarction, and the manner of death was natural. During the internal examination of Anna's body, the heart showed a septal defect. Along with that, two blood clots were found in her heart caused by the septal defect which led to the myocardial infarction. Anna's death was ruled as natural because of the issues found during her internal examination which ruled out it being a homicide.
