The neurinoma is an encapsulated tumor that derives from Schwann cells. It is the most frequent nervous tumor in the oral cavity, usually appears more frequently in the tongue. It usually appears in the second or third decade of life, with a predilection towards women. Clinically they present as a circumscribed nodule that is rarely multinodular. The treatment is surgical excision.
