way before marble existed it was magma. the magma was no ordinary magma it was mafic magma which goes very fast when on the earth crust.then the magma gets too the top of the earth

Marble is able to form from limestone. When limestone reaches very high temperatures (898 °c or 1648.4 °f). So when lime stone reaches those temperature it makes it go threw metamorphism, which makes it form to marble.
