Ming Tsai was born in Newport Beach, California, March 29, 1964. His parents names are Stephen and Iris Tsai. He’s also the parent of Henry and David, and has a wife named Polly.
The first job Ming had was being a “makeshift cook” at his parents restaurant in Dayton Ohio, Mandarin Kitchen. He attended 3 colleges; Yale University, Miami Valley and Cornell University, and he also attended a culinary school in Paris called “Le Cordon Bleu.” He came interested in the culinary arts during his time as a cook for his parents restaurant, so he decided to take his love for cooking to new heights.
Ming is most known for his appearances on Tv, as well as being a hosts and executive producer. He has his own show on PBS called “Simply Ming,” where received 2 Emmy Nominations for “Outstanding Program” and “Outstanding Lifestyle/Culinary Host.”
Tsai was a squash player at Yale, playing number two for the team, and he was named as an All-Ivy League player in 1986.
