Due to the candy striped hermit crab being recently discovered it can only be assumed that it has the usual behavior of a hermit crab.
It has been observed that they like shallow waters and hide in crevices sometimes alongside other animals.
Currently they are found in the Caribbean, some other members that belong to the same species are found in the Atlantic near Japan.
No commercial values are known at the moment.
Not enough investigation and studies have been made for us to know if conservation efforts are or will be needed.
