Where do they work?

O.U.R. works around the globe in cooperation with the law enforcement agencies that are in the jurisdiction of the trafficking ring they want to take down.

Next Steps

(Operation Underground Railroad, n.d.-a)

What Else?

Do they do anything else?

  • O.U.R. provides training and resources to law enforcement agencies worldwide to stop the spread of slave trafficking. The training has proved effective and the resources are long lasting. This can include an O.U.R. ambassador in certain agencies, helping to form policies, and even legal help to put the perpetrator behind bars.

  • O.U.R. is also active in the United States

government, where they push for certain bills

and programs that would aid them in their

pursuit of getting rid of slave trafficking for

good.

Risk Analysis

Victim Resources & Are they legit?

  • Their victim resources are limited, as the people they are rescuing often do not have the ability to reach out to anyone in the outside world.
  • They do, however, have a list of ways to contact them via phone call, e-mail, mail, and a "Send Us a Message!" section.
  • The group also provides the telephone number for the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children Hotline, which is the government agency assigned to dealing with those things. Because the O.U.R. is a volunteer, non-government agency, they cannot take on cases by themselves.

  • The group is as legitimate as it gets. On the website itself, they provide all the donations funding records and records of every case they have ever handled.
