Data pre-processing

Images are filtered according to the date as we are only interested in the most recent years as well as the pandemic period.

Deleted the records with missing important values. Also, we removed outliers

we added a new column which represents the season each image was taken in.

Data Pre-processing

Analysis 1

Using the first and the airport datasets, we counted the number of geotagged images per day during 2020, 2021, and 2022.

We found the median for each key location and computed the percentage difference between daily counts and their respective

medians.

Analysis 2

Using the second dataset we found the visit rate for each place individually per month to study the relationship between the weather and the type of these specific landmarks.

This analysis is done by finding the correlation betweenthe season and the visits rate. Also, we used visits rate to interpret an overview of the tourists activities per place.
