Mitosis
Mitosis is the process that causes one cell to divide into two cells. The first step in mitosis is inter-phase. Inter-phase is when the cell is growing and getting ready for mitosis. Mitosis creates and heals all complex organisms. This prosses happens on a cellular level

Inter-Phase
Inter-phase is the first phase before mitosis occurs. Inter phase is the longest phase and takes about 23 hours to complete. The point of this phase is to get DNA to grow and get ready for mitosis. There are 3 stages, Gap 1, Synthesis,and Gap 2. Gap 1 is the longest of the three taking 11 hours to complete. The point of gap 1 is to develop the cell and give it more organelles. Synthesis is the next step taking 8 hours. This is to give the cell 2 sets of DNA for mitosis to split. The last Gap is only 4 hours and is just for waiting on mitosis and giving the cell more organelles

Mitosis can be split up into three catigories, Metaphase, Anaphase, and telophase. The first is Metaphase, in this phase spindle fibers from the centiole is attached to the chromosones. In the next phase Anaphase, the spindle fibers pull apart the chromosones in two sets. The last step telophase seperaites the two sets of chromosones in the cell. After mitosis is done cytokenises is used to split the cell in to two diferent cell. Those two cells repeat the same prosses starting with inter-phase.

On the molecular level DNA tells the cells what to make and how to make different body parts of the body when growing. They do this with genes. All genes are the same but they chnge based on what is expressed or repressed in that gene. Different representaitions can result in a different type of cell. For example if the Actine protein is expressed it is a muscle cell.
Stem Cell
A stem cell is a cell that can turn in to any thing the body needs to heal or maintain. For example if the body needs to maintain or heal a bone, a signal is sent out to the stem cells for help with that part. The stem cell goes through mitosis and splits apart so one can stay. One of the stem cells then expresses cirtan genes to then help with the places that need matenence.These stem cells are in places throught the body in places calld niches. They stay dormant in the niches untill called upon.
