Lev Vygotsky was a russian psychologist. His main reseach was in Sociocultural Theory. He published over 100 articles by the time of his death. Vygotsky believed that human activities take place in cultural settings and cannot be understood apart from these settings. He beleived that we developmentally learn when paired with another person.

Another way to use his findings is group discussions and projects. By using social interaction to teach one another.

Way to use in Classroom

One way to use Vygotsky's teaching method in the classroom is reciporcal teaching. This is also known as teacher student colloboration.

Another example would be using technology. Vygotsky believed that the use of any technology is benefical to those that developing.

Brofenbrenner

Urie Bronfenbrenner was a Russian psychologist who pratcied clincally throughout his career. He believed that the physical and social contexts in which we develop are ecosystems because they are constantly interacting with and influencing each other. Due to this he created the bioecological model of development.

Albert Bandura was an Canadian psychologist. Commonly known for his experiment with the bobba doll. He was a social congnitive theorist who belived you needed to add concern for things such as cognitive factors to the already known social learning theory. These are things such as beliefs, self-perception, and expectations. Belived that self-esteem is influenced by whether the culture around you values your particular characteristics and capabilities. Looked heavily at self-esteem and self-eficacy.

I chose these three theorist for my project due to the importantce each places on the enviorment and how social is important to development. There ways of using in classroom is also important to building connections. As human beings we are extremely social creatures. Many of us learn from others on what is right and wrong. Whether this is their parents, teacher, friends etc. It is important to note the importance relationships bring to learning.
