How WWII Started
Germany lost WWI and had to make lots of money to each country.They weren't aloud to make an army,so people lost faith in the government.Then Hitler rose to power and promised Germany that they would be powerful again.That's how WWII started.
People voted for Hitler to be president and Hitler wanted revenge so secretly he he made a army
Hitler hated Jewish people and any Jewish people ,who lived in Germany would get tortured.
People had to be evacuate because of the Blitz.The first evacuation happened on Thursday 31 August 1939.
Children were sent in schools.
Evacuees were children,pregnant women and elder people ,who had to go to another city or country to be safe.
Girls packed:

- 6 handkerchiefs
- 2 pairs of stockings
- pair of knickers
- vest
- gas mask
- personal belongings
Boys packed:
- 2 vests
- 2 pair of pants
- pair of trousers
- 2 pair of socks
- 6 handkerchiefs

- personal belongings

Air raid shelters
During the Blitz, people would hear an air raid siren and if you heard that siren;you would have to hide in a shelter .There were two types of shelters Anderson shelter and Morrison shelter.

Blitz
German planes would drop bombs from the sky and that was called Blitz. During the first month,the Germans dropped 5,300 tones of explosives on London i n 24 nights.The German air force would target large cities because big cities would have factories where they would make guns and planes
