Where is Tibet?

1: Tibet

*Tibet is a geology area located on the Tibetan plateau which is in the west part of China.

*The place is on average 4000 meters above sea level. Hence the climate here is cold and extreme.

*Therefore, this area's human production activities are relatively low efficiency.

*The major nationalities in this area is Tibetan and Han/Sino.

2: Economy

*Cold and extreme climate cause agricultural activity have low efficiency in this area.

*Long-term geology activity creates the highest plateau on earth (Tibetan plateau), and also enrichment of mineral resources.

*The highest plateau also closed the traffic in and out of Tibet most time.

*The tough traffic situation let Tibet's business activities not prosperous.

Low-efficiency agriculture environment required collective farming use a large scale to increase efficiency

*Difficult traffic let merchants only will buy high value-added goods in Tibet.

*Enrichment mineral let sword casting is profitable.

*Poor agriculture resources and closed traffic forced Tibetan to use large-scale collective farming to feed their population.

*Large-scale collective farming creates a need for a low price high efficient human management method. Hence, the serfdom that used religion to manage was created.

*Enrichment sword casting industry and serfdom created the samurai class and feudalism. It led to Tibet's society and the economy being based on slave manor.

*Poor economy pushes Tibet to enhance the economic exchange which China. It caused the Han people to move to Tibet and Tibet choose to be a relatively independent dependency with China

in 618 A.D.

4: Tibetan-Han conflict

*After 907 A.C., Mongolia invade China, and China lost control of Tibet. Since then, China with Northern nomadic empires has begun for thousand years fight. Hence China often gain and lost Tibetan suzerainty based on the result of war with northern nomadic empires.

*Long time unify and split history made Tibet and China's relationship become subtle. China acknowledges Tibet's autonomy, and Tibet acknowledges that They are part of China.

*The peculiar relationship between Tibet and China, causes the Tibetan and Han people's relationship also becomes awkward. Some Tibetan and Han saw each other as compatriots. However, some Han will think Tibetan is betrayers, and some Tibetans think Han is the conqueror.

*After WW2, China become an industrialized country and need more mineral resources. Based on the long history of unification relationship between the two political entities (half time only existing on paper), the Chinese government started to regain Tibet.

*In order to develop industry, the government needs free the serfs to get the labor for factories. Hence, Government starts to prohibit slave manor and suppress slave owners.

*It creates the conflict between industrialization and slave manor

*After modern China retracted Tibet and extinct the slavery system by replaced by industrialization. Tibet's local religion's principles about people's status are not equal part have been prohibit by the government.

*It creates regional conflict between Han and Tibetan.

*Tibet is an important hydro resources source for China and multiple countries.

*Chinese government plan to build infrastructures to improve Tibetan life, work, and education quality to decrease terrorist ideology.

*Chinese infrastructures caused neighboring countries to worry that China can cut off their hydro source

*In today, environmental protection become more important. The conflict between environmental protection and industrialization become more outstanding and become an important topic among the arguments with different political forces.

*Chinese government's plan is to improve Tibet's traffic situation and infrastructure in order to allow Tibetan can join the global market and can choose other live subsistence other than traditional agriculture.

* The expelled former Tibetan religious leader's opinion is that Tibetan should go back to their traditional life habit. Only then will decrease the damage to the environment and allow Tibetan to live sustainably.
