My Multimodal Literacy Autobiography

Where I Started

  • My mom always read to me from a very young age
  • My mom would bring my sisters and I to the library often
  • I really enjoyed all of Mo Willems books and would check them out from the library

Where I Started

When I Was in Elementary School

  • When I was in first grade I struggled a bit with my reading but eventually got caught up
  • When I was 11 years old I read the book Nest which really made me fall in love with reading

When I Was in Elementary School

When I Was in Middle School

  • At the beginning of middle school I read for enjoyment a lot but that slowly decayed over my middle school years
  • When I was in eigth grade, my class had three other pair classes, my four teachers arranged a day where we just spent the whole school day reading
  • I read Go Ask Alice which was the first book that I had ever read which such mature themes that I could kinda relate to

  • My junior english teacher gave us free time to read every class
  • It was a requirement but we were able to choose what we read
  • I read quite a few Sarah Dessen novels
  • This was when I started to get back into reading for enjoyment

Where I am Now

  • I still enjoy reading whenever I can and when I have the time too
  • I feel that I have graduated to more adultish novels
  • I really like romance novels and have recently started to read the Bridgerton series
  • Hopefully I can have more time to read in the future
