The Impact of Automobiles On Society

Ford

Ford was one of the first major automobile brands that had gotten founded in the early 1910s. The invention of their first model, the Model T, started the influence of this automobile and it started to become apparent throughout the entire world.

Henry Ford made it possible for people to purchase these automobiles whenever they liked. There were earlier car models back in the very late 1800s, but these weren't so popular to the public.

Negative Effects on Society

The invention of cars has come with a lot of effects onto the world. So along with all of the different effects, there are bad ones unfortunately.

  • Vehicles are a major cause of global warming.
  • Cars and trucks account for nearly one- fifth of all US emissions.
  • Emit around 24 pounds of carbon dioxide for every gallon of gas.

  • automotive production leaves a giant foot print because of materials like steel rubber, glass, plastics, paints, and and many more.

The Positive Impacts

Cars have been very helpful to modern humanity as we know it. They've facilitated human lifestyle by making leiseure acitvities accessible within a finite timeframe. Furthermore, Automobiles gave citizens personal freedom and the opportunity to more jobs and services. Without cars, people would have to rely on public transportation and wouldn't get to work on time if they're destination was not en route. Automobiles have also greatly increased the range that disabled citizens can maneuver.

As the demand for automobiles increased during the early 1920's, the demand for the textiles used to assemble them followed for decades to come. Materials such as rubber, oil, and steel became essential to manufactures who were being flooded with demands. With these necessities for textiles came a plethora of new jobs to harvest raw materials.
