Anansi's Mission To Retrieve The Stories From The Sky God

This story is about Anansi retrieving stories from the sky god, his father. He had to do an impossible task that his father assigned for him.

Challenge Accepted!!

Did Anansi Succeed?

  • There was a group of animals or creatures that he had to bring back to his father.
  • Osebo the leapord, Onini the python, Mmoboro the hornet and Mmoatia the forest spirit.
  • Since he is a trickster he played tricks on each and every one of them so they could be captured and put in his magic bag.
  • He used his spider web thread to time up and head up to the sky to meet his father.
  • He achieved the task so his father gave him all the world's stories.
  • From there Anansi went back to earth and scatter the stories all throughout the world, so they could have an idea where they came from.

When His Tricks Backfire and Becomes The butt of His Own Joke

Anansi Goes To Lunch

Anansi gets invited by the other animals to come over and have lunch with them. He then gives them an idea to put a rope around his waist and give them the other end so when it was ready to eat they would just tug it to inform Anansi.

  • Anansi Tied all the strings around his waist so when the others were ready they would tug it.
  • He was hoping that he could get all kinds of food from each different picnic, but that backfired.
  • He got pulled all around from being tied up on the waist.
  • He learned his lesson and was never greedy again.
