Rules
James Naismith is the creator of basketball when he came up with the idea on December 1981. He was a Physical Education teacher for a middle school, in Springfield, Massachusetts. His class had to be in the gym due to weather conditions. He came up with the idea with 2 baskets nailed on opposite ends of the gym 10 feet above ground. Later, the idea of basketballs and basketball hoops were added and eventually became a world-wide sensation.

History
The winner of a basketball game is the team with the most points. A team gets points by putting the ball through the other team's hoop. A shot within the three point counts as two points and a basket shot from outside the three point line is worth three points. When shooting a free throw, each free throw is worth 1 point. The player must move with both feet while bouncing or dribbling. If the player stops dribbling or both hands touch the ball, only one foot can move. The foot that is stationary is called the pivot foot. There is no physical contact with another player or a foul is called on that player.

He died on January 26, 2020 at Calabasas California due to a helicopter crash. Shaquille O'Neal was born in Newark, New Jersey, on March 6, 1972. Shaquille became one of the most dominating players in NBA history and helped his teams to win NBA Championships and Olympic gold. He used to be in the Orlando Magic in his rookie season. He finished Top 10 in scoring, rebounding, blocks, and shooting percentage. O'Neal stands at at 7 feet, 1 inches tall and his shoe size is 22! Michael Jeffrey Jordan was born on February 17. 1963 at Brooklyn, New York. His father was James Jordan, who was a business owner. He played 15 NBA seasons in total: 13 with the Chicago Bulls (1984-1985 through 1992-1993, then 1994-1995 through 1997-1998) and two seasons with the Washington Wizards (2001-2002 and 2002-2003). Jordan played in 1,072 NBA games, scored 32,292 points, and had 5,633 assists and 6,672 rebounds.
