Eddie Leonski was an american solider that murdered three women in the streets of Melbourne and his crime only lasted from May 3, 1942–May 18, 1942

Eddie Leonski Fantasized about women's voices and how they sounded and on May 3rd 1942, Ivy McLeods body was found in Albert Park in Melbourne she had been beaten and strangled and only 6 days later Pauline Thompson was strangled while going out one night.

Eddies last victim was Gladys Hosking who was the last victim and was murdered on May 18 while on her way home from the Chemistry Library at Melbourne University

Edward Josphe leonski was a sevrer of the US army and was the son of John Leonski. When Edward was young his family moved to East 77th Street in New York but he family was anything but normal hes mother was mentaly unwell and two of his brothers had been in prison and the third being in a psychiatric hospital so hime being metaly unstable seem to run in the family.

While he was stationed with the 52nd Signal Battalion a San Antonio Eddie became a heavy drinker and not long after he arived in Melbourne were he was acussed of trying rape a girl in her St Kilda flat

After strangling the three women the Brownout strangler was apprehended and on November 9 in 1942 he was told he would be hanged and after his he has now had a movie made about him called Death of a Soldier
