SOUNDS

BANG - a sudden loud noise.

BUZZ -

a low, continuous humming or murmuring sound, made by or similar to that made by an insect.

CREAK - (of an object or structure, typically a wooden one) make a harsh, high-pitched sound when being moved or when pressure or weight is applied.

DRIP - a small drop of a liquid.

HISS - make a sharp sibilant sound as of the letter s.

HOOT - a raucous sound made by a horn, siren, or steam whistle.

- (of an owl) utter a hoot.

HUM - sing with closed lips.

RATTLE - make or cause to make a rapid succession of short, sharp knocking sounds, typically as a result of shaking and striking repeatedly against a hard surface or object.

ROAR - a loud, deep sound uttered by a person or crowd, generally as an expression of pain, anger, or approval.

SCREECH - a loud, harsh, squealing noise.

SLAM - shut (a door, window, or lid) forcefully and loudly.

SLURP - eat or drink (something) with a loud sloppy sucking noise.

SNIFF - an act or sound of drawing air through the nose.
