The genre is horror/suspense because it has a lot of paranormal activity. What also made the genre horror/suspense, is because it has some violent scenes. Another reason it is horror/suspense, is because it takes place in one location.
The book is about a girl named Diana and her younger brother Georgie who lived in a tiny shed outside The Old Willis house. They were ghosts because Miss Willis killed them by leaving them to suffer in a parlor without food or water. They used to live in the house, where their mother was a servant for Miss Willis. A couple of years later after the kids died and became ghosts, the parents were forced to leave the house. But as ghosts, they had rules, They could not be seen by another human. So when the parents left the house the kids had to stay there as ghosts. A couple years later, Miss Willis died, leaving only her ghost at the house. A bunch of caretakers lived in the trailer next to the house, but one of them had a daughter, Lissa. Diana broke the rules and met her one day. Diana and Lissa went into the house and let Miss Wilis's ghost out. She attacked Diana and Georgie because they made fun of her. Then something awesome happens when Diana calms her down. Read the book to find out.
This story takes place all in one place. It takes place at The Old Willis house and the woods next to it. It is also takes place in a trailer next to the house were the caretakers live. The story takes place in the past.
I would recommend this book to anyone who likes stories that leave you on the edge of your seat. I would give it 5 stars because it was a great book with lots of cliffhangers.
The theme of this book is that you should never be too quick to judge another. I know this, because even though Diana thought Miss Willis was evil in the beginning, she learned that was really was not the truth.
