In many tribes, having long hair is frequently seen as an indication of a strong sense of cultural identity. This strong sense of cultural identification promotes respect for themself, a sense of belonging, and a healthy sense of pride. In order to prepare for rituals, they take great care in braiding, styling, and decorating their hair. Their hairdo and decorations are built on the values of their family and tribe.
