During the Elizabeth age, schools were not classified as elementary, middle, and highschool. They have schools classified as "petty" and "grammar" schools.
Here students age 4-7 will attend to learn english reading and writing skills and also behavior lessons.
A Petty schools, also know as a Dame school was basically an elementary school in the Elizabethan age
Here students 7-14 will attend to learn parts of speach, grammar and sentence structure, English-Latin translations, the study of Greek and religous education.
A grammar school is basically a larger elementary schools or a middle school
Oxford and Cambridge were the most common universities to attend to. At universities you would learn Arts, Liberal arts, Theology, Medicine, and Law.
At age 14 people would graduate grammar school and continue there education at a university
Every boy, rich or poor, was expected to get an education.
Girls could not become doctors or work big jobs so they were less educated.
If you had an honorary title like Elizabethan you would be homeschooled.
School would start at different times depending on the season.
Teachers were called schoolmasters and were expected to discipline students harshly.
If you were to argue with a teacher you would be expelled immediatly.
