Hello my name is Jasean Ruffin. I want to ask you have ever wondered why you applied to the job you always wanted but never even got a response back from the company? or you have all the qualifications but no experience . Well now a days you have to some type of experience in that field or a higher education than most to get the job. With over 7 million people jobless in the United States, it will only get higher as technology progresses. Now a days most physical and man-made jobs are now being taken over and replaced with technology. Technology is now advancing and is replacing things that humans get paid to do but why would the government think pay people to do work when they can easily turn on a machine to do it for us. Technology has reshaped workplaces and cause some jobs to disappear completely.
If you haven't thought of a couple jobs already that technology have almost taken over of then lemme name a few. Factory workers are definitely losing their jobs. Its crazy because in factories, we use automation and just place a item on the counter and let the technology do the rest and finish the product. but factories are still needing humans to at least put the items in a certain place so the technology can cover the rest. Another job technology completely took over is bridge toll collectors. Although we don't even realize now a days cause chances of us passing a toll while in a car are not as common. It used to be were they would have humans sit at a tool booth all day and collect the funds from drivers but now we have ANPR cameras mounted above each lane, storing each and every vehicles license plate number as they pass through. Drivers can also now pay 24 hours a head or before so they don't need human assistance if they don't have any funds available during the time.
Now those may seem like jobs that nobody really has but even check out cashiers are being replacement consistently with new self service check outs that allow costumers to check groceries out themselves instead of having to wait in a long line like everybody else or having somebody do it for them when the can do it themselves. So we have to ask ourselves is what the government doing right? Is it fair to us? for companies looking to save money. The idea replacing humans with computers and robots can be enticing to major companies. Have you ever thought a robot can work 24/7 with little to no pay at all. Lets keep it in mind that computers and robots not only work way faster then what human can usually handle but they also make fewer mistakes then humans. Technology can easily do jobs that are repetitive or dangerous and leave the interesting part to humans.
Now if your looking for a pharmacy job in the medical field then you might reconsider it . Many pharmacies are replacing their pharmacy technicians with robots capable of separating and handling prescriptions for its customers. These robots help prevent mistakes like over counting, it also prevents employee from taking anything and they only require a small space for robotic arms. Now we have our major careers such as doctors and anesthesiologist are being cut down for simple surgeries and common task that now technology can perform without the aid of a human. Now even the most major jobs are being taking over so we need to demand more job to be opened. It has been from a simple job like a cashier to our doctors losing jobs because the government is letting technology take over.
We can help open up more jobs by opening up and letting people know that the government are causing people to lose their job and people wont even realize it until their job is being taken over by a machine that can work 10 times faster and 10 times harder then you can. Even the most patient jobs still are being replaced. We need to also realize more jobs that are being replaced will cause the poverty rate to raise and people will then need alternative jobs. With the poverty rate at 13.5 percent which is over 40 million people living in poverty today and with a third of the country if not even poverty already are close enough to it.
