Overpopulation
The population of the world is growing very fast.
In the last 40 years, it has doubled.
By the year 2200, it will be about
10 billion.
Now, the population of Earth is 7 billion, but the Earth is already polluted.

- Gases produced by cars, power stations and factories cause acid rain and the high carbon dioxide emission causes the greenhouse effect -Use more environmentally friendly forms of transport and renewable energy sources.
Ozone layer
It protects the life on the Earth.
Certain chemicals used in industry, such as CFC's, have caused a hole to develop in the ozone layer.

Deforestation
We are destroying our forests, which produce oxygen and provide habitats for animals and birds. Deforestation also allows rain to wash away the soil, making the land useless for growing things. - We have to plant more trees, do not use wood for heating.
