First Day Scavenger Hunt

Expectations

1. Be on time. 2. Be prepared for class, bring appropriate books, pens, pencils, paper, homework, etc. 3. Respect the rights of others, don’t’ interrupt, raise your hand and listen. 4. Shoes are to be worn at all times in class for safety rea-sons. 5. All daily assignments not completed in class automatically become homework. Those students who work diligently in class will bring home the minimal amount of homework. 6. All labs done in class should be “written up” in proper scientific form. 7. If a student does not finish the lab in class, it is expected that the student will finish the lab at home or make ar-rangements to finish the lab during the next available non-lab time( perhaps at lunch or after school, if lab equipment is needed). 8. Any work completed is due at the beginning of the next class (unless otherwise directed), neat and complete. Work done without care and attention will not be accepted. 9. All homework, labs and assignments must be completed on time. 10. If a student is absent, it is the responsibly of the stu-dent to: Check with a homework buddy OR Check the website 11. Be prepared, typically a quiz may beheld after every 3-4 topics in a unit and a test is written at the end of every unit. Roughly every 3-4 weeks. ScienceRulez!!12. When writing a test be prepared to start right away. There is to be no communication during test-ing. Always bring your science books, textbook and a reading book to a test. You may finish early and may want to do other work or some free reading. 13. You are expected to care for your textbooks in a responsible manner. Any damaged books may have to be replaced; the replacement cost for your book is approximately $115. 14. Review packages are provided to give you that extra you may need to grasp all the info. Please car-ry it with you as occasionally we will work on it dur-ing class and remember you can always work ahead! These packages are due complete at the end of eve-ry unit. *If you need help in any way, please ask if I am available during, before, and after class to answer questions or to help you get organized– just ask!
