The people who revolted all came together to overthrow Fulgencio Batista due to his brutal rulings over Cuba.

• Batista was ruthless and would take away every fragment of freedom individuals owned
• Implement more censorship in media
• Would suspend constitutional guarantees
• Have military police patrol the streets
