Official PA Science Standards adoption.
This is our across-the-board monitor year. This gap year allows for us to monitor and make minor adjustments when necessary in all areas.
In Spring 2026, we'll start a needs-assessment for mathematics to set up us for the following year.
Our main focus will be on Science with the implementation of new PA standards.
In addition, we will be continuing our work with RELA as it will be our 2nd year with a new program
New PA Science standards will go into effect on July 1, 2025. New Science PSSA Spring 2026.
We will potentially have new science resources/program depending on the Curriculum Review Cycle from the year prior.
We will be adjusting our existing Science Curriculum Maps.
We will be in our 2nd year with our new K-5 Core Reading program
We will be adjusting our existing RELA Curriculum Maps.
Our main focus will be the implementation of a new K-5 Core Reading program and how Social Studies ties into that program.
We will also prepare for the new Science standards.
Before the 23-24 school year starts, we will have full program training.
In addition, we will be refining our ancillary programs for foundational reading skills, writing, and handwriting.
Depending on the outcome of our Social Studies review, we will be working on the integration of SS standards or realignment of SS curriculum
Members of the Science committee will be taking a look at the new Science standards and evaluating what changes we need to make. If purchasing new resources or a new program is necessary, this will be completed in this year for roll out the following year.

Winter: Final selection of RELA program
Spring/Summer: Full faculty training
K-2 will also be receiving training on Fundations program
The Social Studies committee will be evaluating our current curriculum, determining appropriate next steps for standards integration into RELA or if we need to purchase additional resources
