The Road To Your Career

Important to Remember

  • There is no one path to any career. (There are many ways to get to the same place.)
  • We do not all learn the same way.
  • We all have different skills and interests and no one career or type of education is right for everyone.

Types of Education

  • There are different types of education beyond high school
  • Major = your field of study (You are going to take the majority of your classes in this subject.)

  • Having the "traditional college experience"
  • Staying out of debt
  • What are your preferences?
  • Large/Small
  • Rural/Urban
  • What resources are available to you?
  • Where is the school?
