KEEPING KOSHER

keeping kosher

The Taam Tov is a dedicated kosher station featuring daily meals catered by an outside kosher kitchen. Taam Tov is only available to individuals who purchase the Kosher Meal Plan. Students on the Kosher Meal Plan may also dine at other stations in DCT.

We kindly ask that you do not take food from this area if you are not on the Kosher Meal Plan.

Taam Tov is open for lunch and dinner Sunday -Thursday and lunch on Fridays.

AVOIDING GLUTEN

avoiding gluten

For guests that cannot consume gluten, the DCT features a station dedicated to foods that are made without gluten containing ingredients. To prevent cross-contact with gluten-containing foods, this area is key card access only.

Throughout the cafe there are many other menu items available that are made without gluten-containing ingredients.

These items are identified with the ↓G icon on menu signs.

Please note that due to our open kitchens that handle gluten, we cannot guarantee that items made without gluten-containing ingredients are “gluten-free,” as defined by the FDA. We make every effort to avoid gluten cross contact; however there is always the potential for cross-contact with other gluten-containing food items, particularly in our self-serve facilities.

Please contact the dietitian for more information.

HALAL

halal

Certified Halal proteins are served daily at 605 Kitchen, and may be featured at various stations throughout the cafe. Halal menu items will be designated with the Halal COR icon.

Additionally, sandwich and salad options using certified Halal chicken are available at grab and go retail locations across campus, including Cox Hall,The Emporium, Rollins Café, and White Hall.

vegan and vegetarian

It is our standard to provide a robust plant-based menu in all of our cafes. At the DCT, you will find a vegan or vegetarian option at every station. In addition, the Stem to Root station features completely vegan meals at breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

The DCT does not prepare any menu item that contains peanuts, tree nuts, or shellfish.

Chefs and associates at all Emory Dining locations receive regular training regarding food allergen handling.

Where possible, we use descriptive naming to identify allergens in a dish.

For example:

creamy mashed potatoes→ milk

panko crusted salmon → wheat, fish

*For specific food allergen questions, please reach out to the dietitian.
