What is driving to a decision?
Assumptions.
1. Identify the total addressable market?
2. What percentage of that market can be reached?
3. What percentage will actually make a purchase?
4. How much will they spend?
Possible delays.
Is Board Approval Required? Board is the primary decision maker for most nonprofits overseeing its management. As a result, your board should approve any decision involving significant financial, legal, or tax issues.
Know what size order needs additional approval. Not every decision, however, requires formal action or approval by the board
More and more boards are developing formal processes for figuring out which decisions should go to the board. Usually, the chief executive makes the judgment call. That call is based on a set of informal norms that have evolved over time, norms that reflect the company culture and, more pertinently, the personality of the CEO and the relationship he or she and the rest of the executive team have with the board. While these norms vary from company to company, most revolve around the idea that boards should have a say when a question is “strategic.”

So what? of the risk?”
Florida school shootings, school safety became a major issue; this was a major focus in the most recent legislative session, as state legislators adopted a comprehensive bill regarding school safety. This fill requires a school safety position in each school.
A further recommendation is that the Sheriff accounts for these expenses separately from other Law Enforcement costs, as the legislature will likely inquire how much counties have spent to implement the school safety program.
Targets for Aruba East Central Florida.
Outlook
This pivot in K-12 has never happened on this scale before. It’s not going to return to normal anytime soon because the new normal is going to be different and most schools will likely extend virtual learning into the fall or possibly figure out a rotation mixing online learning and classroom education to advent of 1:1/Remote Learning.
What rules are in place?
Per-student budget multiplier and student counts move to five-year cycle — Cat 2 budgets will be calculated as an inflation-adjusted $167/student for schools for the new five-year funding cycle beginning in FY 2021. Applicants will only need to provide student counts for schools once at the beginning of each five-year cycle

I wanted to check in with you on the City of Groveland Quote. I noticed that you had specified Virtual Mobility Controllers to support the environment. When I researched the cost between Virtual/hardware it ends up almost being a wash to move to 7205 hardware controllers. Future compatibility, should the client want to move to Aruba Central, is currently limited to only Hardware Mobility Controllers. Virtual controllers have no path to the central.
I just wanted to be sure they didn’t spend a bunch on VM’s that are not able to move should they decide at some point that Central is the best path. It will also save on virtual resources of course as well.

Alex Kennedy is an Assistant Director, Infrastructure & Technical Services at Volusia County Schools based in DeLand, Florida. Previously, Alex was a Vice President, Technical Services at NBH . Alex Kennedy, Assistant Director . Volusia County Schools is a public school district serving pre-kindergarten through 12th-grade students throughout Volusia County. The district is headquartered in DeLand, Florida. Volusia County Schools (VCS) creates life-long learners for an ever-changing global society! With nearly 64,000 students, 44 elementary schools, 12 middle schools, 9 high schools, 2 combination schools (K-8 and 6-12), multiple alternative schools, and 1 online school, the district offers parents the choice of educational options designed to meet the needs of students and families throughout Volusia County.
Public school enrollment is facing an existential crisis. And while COVID has made matters worse, schools and districts were already experiencing declining enrollment long before the pandemic. Families who delayed kindergarten starts, home schooled, sent their kids to private school or switched to virtual school meant lost revenue for schools and districts whose funding is tied to enrollment. Not to mention declining birth rates in many parts of the U.S.
