The reasons why the US entered the war in both Vietnam and Korea are similar in a way. In both of these wars, the US felt like the expansion of Communism needed to be contained due to the destruction and corruption that follows.
For the US, the war ended as soon as we removed soldiers from both Vietnam and Korea. Proceeding these wars, the US not only lost national pride, confidence and a will to fight, but their economic unrest, escalated significantly

Some differences that made the Korean War seperate from the Vietnam war, was the american general. In the Korean war, the general was Douglas MacArthur. Due to this major difference, some of the war tactics and stratigies varied. For example, MacArthur believed stragic skill and air sapport was necessary for victory
