We start with Illustrator, a vector based software application used for illustrations, icons and symbols to create mock-ups for User Interface designs and websites... Used for anything that needs to be scaleable
You will then be introduced to Photoshop, a bitmap-based application used for illustration and photo manipulation
These two software packages are often used simultaneously when executing design ideas.
Upon completion of this module you need to be proficient in both applications in order to be able to create assets for digital motion grahics and interactive media.
We cover the basic functions in class so that you can use the software efficiently.

Digital Design Technology
it is essential that you work through the activities indicated in the pacer in preparation for class. You will then get the opportunity in class to discuss any ares where you experienced difficulties.
You will be required to do specific LEVEL UP activities (as per the module pacer) in class against a set time. Together, there activities will form your submission for your Summative Portfolio of Evidence.

To pass this module you need to hand in all your Tasks at the end of the semester as a Portfolio of Evidence.
During exam preparation week you'll be required to repeat the two Assessment Activities that you received the lowest marks for in class within a set time!
