First Nations made made many things to help them survive. We even use some of them today. Those inventions were really important to them and helped them survive in Canada.They used them for things such as transportation,medicine, and entertainment.

What were they actually used for? Their invention like canoes were made for transportation. They used canoes to move around on water because before they only had walking as a transportation. They were used for their daily needs like some can be used for food,some for transportation,some for hunting and some as their daily needs such as clothes. They also made sports that we play today. They made the sport lacrosse. As u can see, all of these inventions were daily needs for them.

How do we use them now

We use many of their inventions today. We might not think about it but we do. Like Canoe is what we use for canoeing which is a sport and also lacrosse. As you know Lacrosse is Canada's national sport. They also made petroleum jelly (Vaseline). Now days we improve their ideas and make them even better. They also invented wild rice. It's cereal grain. so use that to make cereal. That's what the First Nations invented. Their inventions have helped us a lot, more than we can think of.
