Reasons for Popularity
Niagara falls has many reasons for popularity, first of all both Canadians and Americans have a shared attraction since they share the border, making it a well known destination. Niagara’s tourist attractions, festivals and special events attract more than 13 million tourists from around the globe each year and they arrive ready to spend. Another thing that is well known in the Niagara region that contributes to its popularity is, its award winning wine including its unique "ice wine" the Niagara wine rout/trail on bolt sides of Niagara (Canadian, and American) feature dozens of wineries with tasting rooms set amid acres of gorgeous vineyards.
Types of Tourists
people from all over come to Niagara to see the view of the falls altho the majority of the over 13 million tourists that arrive in Niagara each year are domestic travelers (tourists who travel within their own country), over 3 million come from the United States and approximately 1 million are from overseas. Types of tourist that come to Niagara falls are mainly there as a leisure tourist; there for pleasure and to do things such as shop (get souvenirs from places around the world/community/country), try new foods or in Niagara falls, to try their wine, and also for scenery, to see the falls; a wonder of the world.
Reflection
After the boat tour me, Kallista, Hannah, Holly, and Lucas went to Tim Horton's to eat lunch since the restaurant we were originally planning to go to was closed (Mama Mia's). After lunch, we walked round deciding on what to do when we came to the Guinness world records where we took pictures and did a quick walk around. Afterwards, we walked into the fun house (arcade) and then were planning to play there for awhile until I suggested that we go to the midway (also an arcade) because I knew that it was bigger and consists of more games so, we walked there and bought 40 tokens to share amongst each other. we played at the midway until we ran out of tokens, and we then cashed in our tickets for a couple thing each of our choice and two things that we would pass around to keep for a week in our locker; which was a panda fan and a moose. Lastly, before returning to the bottom of Clifton hill (meet up area) we went into a treat shop and got a couple of things, I got a bag of cotton candy and so did Kallista. We walked back to the bottom of Clifton hill which was the conclusion of the Niagara trip. I very much enjoyed this trip and so did my friends, it was a fun day; as was expected.
