Hitler up to the end of the war was finally seeing that germany was gonna be deafeted so instead of getting captured he killed himself in his bunker. When the soldiers found out their moral was destroyed and a couple days after hitlers death germany surrended.

After World War II between July 17 and August 2, 1945, Germany was to pay the Allies US$23 billion mainly in machinery and manufacturing plants. Also due to the war the econmy already collapse and with all the war repations aganist them caused to print money causing their curreny worth nothing. they later did have an econmy boom

Germany after the war was split, Great Britain in the northwest, France in the southwest, the United States in the south and the Soviet Union in the east. due to this spilt they had their own armys, the east german soliders were known as the National peoples army and formed march 1st, 1956. They were heavily influenced by the Soviet Union and most of their supplies was from them. The west German army was know as the Bundeswehr which to this day still exist! They were mostly influenced by the us, also during this time the cold war was at its peak and germany was the main front between east and west.

Postwar German fears of revenge echoed of violence during the last stages of the Second World War. As many German soldiers were killed during the last 10 months of the war as during the entire preceding five year period. The spring of 1945 witnessed a wave of suicides of high Nazi officials, who like Hitler escaped the prospect of being called to task for their deeds during Nazi Germany by taking their own lives.
