  • We agree that Christian Education can be a great platform for discipleship – There is a case for it – our mission aligns with it - ACSI exists to strengthen Christian schools and equip Christian educators worldwide as they prepare students academically and inspire them to become devoted followers of Jesus Christ.
  • We know that Christian Education needs to be done well – authentically Christian – and it is not consistently done in many schools.
  • Traditional schools / traditional techniques are not the only way to disciple through education
  • We know that 'USA-centric'' methods and tools do not fully meet the needs of the global movement
  • We want to invest in areas that need it, but in the future those areas may be able to self-fund

Big Questions -

Knowing Underlying Assumptions

1. Does every Global Division need to operate the same?

2. Will we operate in a Centralized or decentralized way?

3. Specifically - Do we sell products from National offices (the Licensed Members)? – or from Divisional offices? – or from HQ? – or some combination? (need to know to create options for delivery and financial flows).

4. Who develops products? Who controls products? Who allow things to have the ACSI brand?

5. Does each office have a goal of financial self-sufficiency? Or do some areas always need missions support?

6. Who ‘owns’ master list of members? – (does that connect to our sales systems for access/discounts ?)

National Offices Currently Set Up Like Franchises

Unique Challenges

Franchise Model or Centralized Delivery?

Goals in either model:

  • Customer ease and focus
  • Tracking available to HQ
  • Local Products available

  • Each National Office creates products (for local area and for other offices)
  • Membership required for some product purchases in some areas
  • Pricing
  • Translating creates a 'new' product
  • Publishing and Shipping
